Our decision.

FINAL SELECTED EVENT:
We have decided to do on the BICYCLE INCIDENT between Abuji, Tae-yul, and the two soldiers.
HOW YOUR BOOK IS LINKED TO THE NOVEL:
Our storybook will be linked by the novel through the bicycle incident in chapter 12.
In the novel, it is said that the two soldiers had bullied Tae-yul by mocking him about his bicycle. They decided to take it away from Tae-yul and when Abuji came out,they inform him that they wish to take away the bicycle in the name of his Imperial majesty(the emperor of japan). Abuji couldn't deny and allowed them to take it away. Tae-yul became very angry.
However, our storybook will have the same storyline except the ending. Instead of a sad ending, Abuji will apologize to Tae-yul and comforts him by giving him a big hug and telling him that when things are better, he will buy Tae-yul a bigger and much nicer bicycle that he can afford for Tae-yul to have. Tae-yul in return feels much happier and hugged Abuji back. The story end then.
OUTLINE OF THE STORY:
The story will start with Tae-yul happily riding his beloved bicyce down the street decorated with sharon trees. Out of the suddent a soldier, accompanied by another soldier, shouted at him and told him to stop. When Tae-yul stops, they approached him and mocked his bicycle calling it names. Then, they took interest at it's speed and decided to take it from him. When Abuji came, the soldiers tell him they wanted the bicycle and Abuji allowed them to to have it. After the soldiers left, Tae-yul cried and Abuji comforts him by hugging and promising a better and nicer bicycle in the future. Tae-yul feels happier and hugs back. The story end with the walking home with them watching the sunset in front of the house (where the whole incident occured).
