Draft of our WHOLE text in the storybook :

Once there was a boy named Mike,
who was happily riding his bike.
With hands on the handles,
Mike pedals with his dirty sandals.

As he was about to reach his home,
he walked and pushed his bike by his side alone.
Out came 2 soldiers from Streets of Sharay
and tried to take Mike's bike away!

They teased and mocked
and mocked and teased.
They laugh at his bike Oh please!
Mike only thought, "OH JEEZ!"

Dad came along to stand by his son,
who had been wishing he could escape and run.
The soldiers told Dad the bike they want,
Mike stood there crying, stunned.

Dad could not do anything but say yes,
making a lot more mess.
The soldiers tried took the bike from them,
Mike became angry and BAM!!!

Holding the handle, he shouted, "NO!"
Gripping it tight, he yelled, "LET LOOSE!"
He shrieked it was his to use!

He begged and plead,
Instead the soldiers went mad.
Mike held the bike and NEVER let go,
and finally Dad forced him to, OH NO!

A wave Dad gave to the soldiers as he turned to his left,
Mike cried and said this is THEFT!
Dad apologized and knelt down to say,
that Mike WILL get another bike on day.

Sorry Mike felt seeing his father feel guiltily upset,
He hugged Dad and wipe his cheek it was wet.
He knew Dad will get another bike one day,
And that dad wont forget, NO WAY!!!

*Note that each stanza is a page or two in the book. Illustrations as we planned will cover up the paper besides the area with the text "printed" on it.

  1. Good attempt! However, do check your spelling and grammar because I have spotted a few already.

  2. Also, 'Mike' is not a suitable name for your character since it is a Korean novel. Do change the name and think about what other words you have to change so that they rhyme.
